Easy Tamari Butter Salmon

An easy weeknight meal, this quick 5 minute prep produces a buttery, fragrant salmon!

Prep Time: 5 minutes Yield: 3 - 4 servings

You will need a heavy, oven safe 12 inch skillet, cast iron or stainless steel.

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound Atlantic salmon

3 tbsp Tamari (see note below)

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1/2 tsp white pepper

a few sprinkles of dried pepper flakes (more heat....so optional)

Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

Lightly grease pan with olive oil.

Rinse and thoroughly dry salmon filet(s). Place in pan (skin side down if skin left on filet). Rub top of salmon with Tamari and melted butter. Sprinkle with white pepper and red pepper flakes.

Place pan in oven. Bake for 6-7 minutes. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Note: Tamari, being less salty and thicker, is preferred over soy sauce for the success of this recipe. Also, soy sauce is not traditionally gluten free.
